Looks like its getting to the time for changing the bearings on my mega tr, i hear the nukeproof ones are a bit crap(havent lasted me that long anyway!) Where can i get better quality ones, at a good price? Will i need a tool to get the old ones out and the new ones in? Or is it better just to get the lbs to do it?

It's an inherently bad place for cartridge bearings - a very small range of motion means that no bearing will survive that well.
Buy cheap, pack with grease and keep checking them is the best bet IMO.

Is it worth spending 35 quid on bearing press tools or is it fairly cheap job for bike shop to do? Not had great experience with my local shop which puts me off a bit, though cant imagine its too easy to cock up with proper tools...
