I have a few of the Cree cheapy chinese lights such as the one below

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4-CREE-XML-T6-5200LM-Front-Head-Lamp-LED-Bicycle-Bike-Light-Headlamp-Headlight-/172307268890?hash=item281e50451a:g:3bcAAOSw2zlXhvSD

I want better sealed battery packs but the ones I have claim to come with 1 x 8.4V 6400mAh battery packs. I don't know if it matters if I get another pack that doesn't match that spec? Would it just take longer to charge?

Getting a cheapy Chinese battery box and putting non-cheapy, branded, 6400mAh batteries in is a common approach. The boxes are sealed pretty well IME.
