Ever since I purchased my bike back in 2013 I have never been very impressed with the 2013 Fox CTD evolution forks that came with the bike. A google search would indicate that these forks were not very well received?
Mojo are offering a Fox 2016 FIT4 upgraded cartridge and service for £175
Just wondering whether anyone has had this done and if so was it worth the money?
I was hoping to be able to buy a seal kit and the cartridge and do the service myself, but was told that to buy the parts from MOJO was more expensive than getting MOJO to do the work. I do find that rather odd.
I think they are discounting the parts at the moment when fitted with a service.
Totally worth it, it's a fantastic damper. My new 34s have been faultless!
Great value you as long as your happy with your current chassis. I
I would prefer a bolt through axle on a 34 as it would certainly be a much stiffer fork, but that is out of the question as it would also require a wheel upgrade too. Given what you have both said I'll get them sent in for the upgrade.
Are there any details online? I'm unimpressed by the damping on my 2014/2015 34 TALAS so would have a go for this.
I found http://www.mojo.co.uk/fit-upgrade but it's very light on details and doesn't mention specifics that you do.
All I was told by MOJO was that the FIT 4 cartridge is based on the same design as that which was in the 36 RC2
There is some further details here on the fox 2016 float range. The same applies for the 32s as well.
