Am coming up to Penrith for the holidays and bringing my mtb, what are the fells like at the moment. I know they'll be snowy, but the wet or icy variety?

Very Icy and about a foot of snow in places!
Askham fell might be rideable from Roadhead farm,after a few fell walkers have been on it,Whinnlater Blue (Keswick)or a potter along the old railway would be my choice. 😉
