Just spotted these pedals and wondering if they're as good as they look, is anyone running them and can give them a thumbs up.
Love them. Best flat pedals ever.
Was very close to ordering some recently, only lack of stock put me off really. They certainly sound comparable to £100+ pedals, but never seen in the flesh and they could do with some extra photos on their site.
I know they also say they're concave, but the sizeable looking axle almost makes them looking flat or slightly convex on the end?

I rate mine. Brilliant pedals that are much more grippy than the superstars they replaced. They seem durable so far as well.
Are they better than DMR Vaults? Because after 10 years I might be ready to consider something else.
Yes they are IMHO. Vaults probably have more grip, but the unites have plenty and last way longer before needing a service
Wouldn't mint seeing one side by side with a Vault. I found the massive platform to be a game changer all those years ago. I know pedals have gotten gradually bigger but I wouldn't want anything smaller now.
I have Chromag Scarabs which are the best flats i've used, but the Unite's look good. Anyone used the Unite's and the Scarab's and have any feedback?
I loved how my vaults felt but I found the bearing life pretty poor . I have a pair of burgtecs on my full suss and a pair of the plastic ones on my hardtail and the metal ones seem to be bombproof , plastic ones have had an easier life but still seem good .
The unite ones look nice and you can also get your name etched on them which is a neat touch .
I would highly recommend buying from Unite. Communication from them was great. Messaged them on instagram about getting a stem in raw a while ago and I got a prompt helpful reply. The stem is great. Also have the replacement linkage bolts for my SC frame. Ordered them via ebay and they arrived in the post in less than 24hours.
I'm waiting for the pedals to come back into stock in raw then I'll order some.
Some items are out of stock on the website but if you message them direct they are pretty helpful.
I think I seen them announce they are due to move to new premises soon and also acquired a new cnc machine to help increase production volumes.
For anyone looking to buy from them Pinned10 should get you 10% off.
Anyone has an idea on how do they compare with the Nukeproof Horizons?
I was very inclined to try the Burgtecs MK5 when the Horizons die (highly doubt that day ever comes, not for lack of trying), but these Unites look like very nice options, and UK made as well
Any more user reviews on the Unite Instincts?
My lbs sells these, I'll pop in for a look.
Thanks.
My Horizons are looking really beat up, are up to a pin refreshment and the left bushing is finally developing some play. I could renew them with a new set of pins and bushings, but can't find the bushing kit in stock anywhere. Does anyone know the Nukeproof Horizon bushing size? This tempts me to try something new.
Looking for pedals, I'd like for something slightly bigger than the Horizons (size 11,5 Impacts), made at least in Europe and preferably with easily available pins.
Burgtec MK5 - I drool over the looks, but not only they use non standard pins but also I read the Q factor is very narrow which wouldn't work for me. I'm assuming they're UK made
DMR Vault - would love to see what the fuss is all about on these, but keep hearing very contradictory reports on bearing/bushing durability. Also, where are they made?
Shimano Saint M828 - not made anywhere nearby, but should have bombproof internals. Can get them nearly for free, but I can't find user reviews. Anyone has experience with these?
Unite Instinct - UK made, standard pins, bigger platform, very reasonable price. Curious on the grip department Vs the Horizons
Shimano Saint M828
Really not particularly great, imho. Small, not especially grippy, even running the pins without the safety spacer. Mine ended up, quite quickly, on my pub bike. They were fine for that, but not particularly for mountain biking.
Aren't you referring to the old Saint flats?
I was talking about the more recent ones:
