Farticus Jr. is eyeing a unicycle to idle away valuable revision time. Inevitably I think one would be a good idea ... already dreading summer holiday boredom, and this could be just the trick to keep him active and encourage him out of his natural horizontal state.
So, we're looking at 24" - correct? Any good ones to go for? Any to avoid? Any fantastic websites? Any easy tutorials that mean he won't loose his teeth in the first week?
BTW, if anyone has a decent one gathering dust just let me know (addy in profile).
Thanks.

Unicycle.com is the best place to buy one, unicyclist.com is the best place for chatting about it. They also have a for sale section, its international but has some UK stuff.
There are as many different kinds of unicycle as there are bikes. A 20" would be a good place to start, 24" can be a bit tricky to learn on unless you are very tall. Kids tend to be into trails on a 19" with a fat tyre but these are also a bit tricky for learning. Probably best to get a cheap 20" to learn on then look at getting a better one once you know what direction he wants to go in.
EDIT "Unicycle thread might be a start point" that thread is about what to buy once you've learnt on the cheap starter uni, but still worth reading to know what you are getting yourself in to. ๐
A search function ... who'd have thought it?
