I had a good poke around the sick shrike thing they had. Was not impressed... Welds and finish looked poor and was bloomin heavy.
Still on the swinley hub site for hire... But reduced down to £40 (it was £90 a month or so back). Doubt they got many hires at that rate.

Little/no bucks is all they had to begin with, hence them doing pre orders. Get the money up front, then buy the frames with that. However it seems they’ve either spent some of the money on other stuff (their insta was full of EEwing’s cranks, Intend Forks and spengle wheels, though I get they may not have paid for them/sent them back), or the frames they were going to buy were more expensive than thought, or additional unexpected (by them) costs arrived. That’s before folk started asking for refunds.
‘Low risk’ I think was the term they used.
Just pop down to Bespoked and ask them. Oh, wait. They’re not exhibiting this year...

You'd think that if they had any moral compass they'd not be taking any more orders until they had cleared their massive back log, or paid back the many folks out of pocket.

Probably on the 10 sets or however many it was of Eewing cranks at a grand a pop. Seem to remember they were bragging about!! Or sets of those ridiculous £100 grips with elastomers in...oh and maybe real diamonds for their stems...

I think it's unlikely that any kickstarter buyers will have much luck due to KS t&c.
Cc protection likely past its efficacy now too... That may well be [one of] the strategy of the delay tactics.
not sure about CC but I used paypal and they have 180 day limit before your unable to open a dispute, im on day 103
I quite liked their "if you don't like our bikes **** off" attitude when they started out, I think if they had got things right and delivered the stuff they could have pulled that attitude off and probably done ok as a business.
I just hope that Sick haven’t gone and people get the frames they bought and their warrantee claims sorted.
Hopefully, but I reckon they are totally screwed now. I don't think the thread on here would have harmed them too much but I bet the one of pinkbike would have done. Word has probably got around by now about them so I cant see them getting many new orders.
I bet PayPal binned them off too due to the number of disputes they were getting and not the other way round. If they had just held their hands up months ago, admitted the problems and been honest with people that might have been able to sort it out but not now they keep churning out crap excuses so they've only got themselves to blame!
By the way, has anyone heard from Joe how his campaign to have this thread removed from STW is going?
