My son's getting cold ears when we go out now. I've tried a buff under his helmet but that's not working out so I'd like to see if there are other options.

A quick google has recommended hup.cc and decathlon, neither of which has anything suitable in stock.

Any other ideas?

Thin balaclava?

Maybe. A hat is a bit more versatile though so would prefer that.

Helly Hansen used to do Lifa and Prowool hats. They weee adult sized but super thin and really warm. My old one fits my 2 year old’s huge melon head. But maybe you could make your own similar one with some fabric

I had this problem. Buff is the only thing I’ve found so far (with the top extended over her head and then just folded back)

These guys are good, look like a couple of options of thin hats or balaclava styles

Little Adventure Shop Hats

I've used them a few times, local company and always been great

Ive got a mdison sportive skull cap. in one size fits all its not very big. Mini sometimes wears it, its not the last word in warm but enough to turn a painfully cold ear into one you can put up with.

Ive used a buff as a thin beanie for my 3 year old successfully. Inside out, twist and back over on itself.

We use a thin fleece balaclava for our 4yo.
