Good to see he's dropped the stupid cable stops that he used to insisted on having on the headtube.

Oh, also agree the, run into tree/bus/wall, bent downtube looks wrong.

Joe Breeze, niche name. Really. About as niche as Gary Fisher. Or Keith Bontrager would be if he was still frame-building. Oh wait, I get it. He's niche because he does hardtails.
Clot.

So what if it does? Joe invented/developed/built some of the first rigid mtb frames, so if it looks like anything else available it's because they have been copying him.

Bent stays make for a more forgiving/shock absorbing frame, ala Scapin. It looks to me like that fork is one of the reduced rake jobbies developed by Fisher so the bend in the down tube may be there so the fork doesn't smash into it. The bends on that frame look like they will serve some purpose. Unlike the bends on an old frame by a certain wooden plank company that obviously served no purpose as the newer version is far less swoopy.

Sorry Jim you are dreaming/reading mbr too much.

The bending of the tubes inrceases flex by bu**er all % And if you were right how good would a flexy down tube be?

High crown on a fork can easily be accommodated without bending the DT.

it's got straight tubes though coogan. Even if they are broken.

Anyway why not let me service those Pikes? You would never have known about the stanchions!

Joe didn't do the sloping top tube thing so much back in the day which is the main reason I bought a Rocky Mountain Blizzard in 1993 instead.

I did a race friends Breezer thunder when the Blizzard was broken though - lovely bike.

If I were shopping for an XC race bike that would be near the top of my wish list. I think it looks stunning.
