Where's the best deals for 18650 6000 mah betteries?,I need x 8,I know most of us use eBay but what's a genuine source & what's not from the ting tong sites that's the trouble ..
So I just wondered if anyone had a genuine supplier ..
A 6000mah 18650 doesn't exist. The highest capacity for a single cell is 3400 - panasonic.
You'd be better off spending some cash on 6 panasonics than the crappy ultrafire, trustfire, sunfire, campfire, bombfire nonsense.
There is a guy on e bay (I'll have a look if I can find it) any way he's Scottish and his e bay items always have Scottish flag in the pic...
He's tests all the battery's he sells and rates them against cost... Worth having a look I've always had great service off him.
P.s he says anything with "fire" in the name is Chinese rubbish
As above.
I've got for 3400 panasonic in a battery box for my solar storm and they last forever. I also have some torchy 2600's which are very good, not a patch on the Panasonics but still very good and four Yezl 2400 which have done the rounds in various lights and powerbanks for two years. Don't go cheap on 18650's.

Well you can buy them.
Wether they are any good or not is a different matter.
But they definitely exist.

My ultrafire bike light was advertised 5000lm but it definitely wasn't.

But if you wanted another, you would ask for a "5000lm ultrafire"
A Big Mac isn't particularly big. But they definitely exist.
I've just replaced ultrafire batteries with torchy (ebay seller above) batteries and charger. Lo and behold nonfunctioning torches are rejuvenated

6000mah is a bullshit made up number so gullible people buy them. Just like the lights which are 7000 lumen for £13.
Plenty of test results are published online so read these and buy whatever you like.

Are you saying that 6000mah 18650's do actually exist.?
Guys I hear what your all saying that's why I placed the post in the first place !,so,what's the best value battery ,& where do I buy em please ,thx.
Value is subjective but I was pretty confident in torchy from here and other locations.
I'd rather know they work than hope they work

Unfortunately quality 18650's are not going to work out cheap. Depends on what you want them for.? I have got a couple of the red Ultrafire ones knocking around and although they don't have the run times of higher quality ones they do function as a battery and have worked perfectly OK in torches I have used for camping.

I think their prices are ex-vat.
I have bought individual cells from them without problems. Shipment to UK is ~1 week.
You can build up the capacity to what you like, just add more cells. Individual cells with high capacity figures are likely BS.
Anyway, Ultrafire, just be careful. http://www.torchythebatteryboy.com/p/dangers-of-ultrafire-18650-batteries.html
And yes, someone can slap 6000mAh on one with "ultrafire" branding. Doesn't mean it's any good 😉 http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?388599-Test-Review-of-UltraFire-SJ18650-6000mAh-(Black)
You may be best to consider using 2200mAh cells if you are planning on making up a pack. I was looking for some panasonic 3400mah batteries to build a new 3 cell pack for my ageing exposure.
I contacted torchy to buy some and this was his reply.
I have Panasonic 3100mAh and 3400mAh with tabs. I have previously asked Fluxient why light manufacturers don't use higher capacity batteries to give a longer run time.
What they tell me is that the batteries have to be closely matched, as if one cell has slightly lower capacity than the others, it will be continually over charged and over discharged and will deteriorate quite quickly. Apparently 2200mAh cells are easier to match than higher capacity.
If you use individual cells with one of those battery boxes with a quality charger then each cell will be individually charged, so less of an issue.

I charge mine out of the box to be on the safe side.
