What you really need to have a niche bike is one of these.

Never mind that, we had someone it at the weekend on a Spesh Hardrock with Super Monster T's on it. Awesome!

there was a mini mega DH race on kids bikes recently. would be bob on for that. if a bit outside the spirit of the event.
