I have posted a few pics of my Maverick ML 7/5 of late, every time someone has commented that it was ugly or that they didn't like it. Now for the record I couldn't give a toss whether the bike I ride is good looking or not, but it did raise
My curiosity as to why people thought they were 'ugly' bikes, esp when something like a motolite isn't.

That weird seat tube with the seatpost jutting backwards at a jaunty angle ruins them.

I own an ML7, but honestly, it's not a pleasant looking bike, no matter how well it works. There's something horribly wrong with the angle of the seat tube basically. Enough?

Yeah, what they said. But then people say my Yeti "looks like it'll snap" or "its been broken and stuck together wrong" Arf.
Who give a flying one, really?

Nothing wrong with them, look a bit different that's all.

Saw a black ML8? (the longer travel one) with matching forks once, quite smart looking.

Thought the old Whyte bike was a bit of an acquired taste though!
