[#3387378]

I'm off to cody, llandegla and nant y arian this weekend and am wondering if I should bother to change my tyres. I normally run high roller/advantage for summer/autumn and mud x for winter/spring.

Anything worth checking out for the north of wales, rubber wise? Can't be arsed with buying a set of tyres for one trip, but I'm tempted by something supertacky single ply for general use and wondered if it would be worth taking one for the trip?

I was tempted by some specialized slicks, but idave doesn't rate them so I'm not sure.......

Rumour has it that Schwalbe are developing a new tyre especially for Welsh trail centers - the Damp Dai.

Super tacky minion up front and ardent rear best combo for Degla,

but HR and Advantage will be fine, crossmark also good on the rear but break away to quickly... ๐Ÿ˜ฏ ๐Ÿ˜€

round ones, with air in will do you fine. just have loads of fun rather than worrying about your rubber selection....that way leads to madness believe me I know

*sneaks off to fondle the tyre mountain and weigh some of them*

A mixture of possible surface types, and wetness/dryness, so a good all-rounder is ideal. I woon't bother with small tread/semi-slick 'summer' tyres, and full on mud tyres would be overkill.

So, that narrows it down to about 56,000 different tyres then. ๐Ÿ˜€

Going for the Mornington Crescent with Conti Vert Pros under the regurgitation of over-utilised internet memes ruling from the convocation of fat IT geeks with too much time on their hands, keyboard warriors sub-section someone else on the internet is wrong committee consensus made during a fag break whilst contemplating the correct punctuation of stupid answers to serious questions amongst the deliberation of what else can we stir the coals on (or non greenhouse gas emitting energy sources) for topics whilst getting on with our mundane lives.

A pair of High Rollers for me (I live in North Wales), although an Ardent EXO on the back would make sense. Lots of leaves, slippery rock and whatnot at the moment so no shame in dropping five psi.
