[Closed] Tyres for a Hybrid about to ride the length of Wales

My parents are about to embark on the Sustrans route from Holyhead to Cardiff. My mothers specialized Vita hybrid has the stock 'All Conditions' tyres (700 x 32c) on it but they have proved a bit puncture prone so before they set off she would like to replace them.

This is more a CTC than STW question perhaps but I don't have a login there!

These tyres will stay on the bike afterwards which is used reguarly (2-3 times a week) for roads and towpaths; there is a different mountain bike for proper offroad work.

What tyre would people recommend (at a reasonable price). I was thinking these:

Thanks in advance

I didn't get to the end of your post and I was thinking "Schwalbe Marathon".

OK, that's a good thing I think!

Do you reckon that is a good variant to go for? There are about 10 different versions of the same tyre it seems (OK so just like mountain bike tyres then!)

I use the 28mm Marathons on my commuter/tourer. You can go for the "Plus" variant but it really is quite heavy. I reckon the GreenGuard Marathons are a good compromise between puncture resistance and weight/speed.

I occasionally have the Marathon CX on my hardtail when it is pressed into non-MTB duties. Similar tread pattern but much deeper for more grip in loose/wet conditions.

A cheaper option would be the Landcruisers. They are a bit more knobbly but have a continuous centre tread to reduce rolling resistance. Mrs Druidh has those on her bike.

I didn't get to the end of Hybrid without thinking Marathons...
Last time I looked On One were selling them at a good price.
