Hi all, just wanted to know if someone could give me a bit of advice about Tyre sizing.
I bought myself a new bike middle of last year, but as luck would have it I have knackered my arm for good ๐Ÿ™ (not related to biking), so I can't do MTBing anymore. I thought rather than sell the bike I would stick some city/slick tyres on, as I am still able to cycle on road/ flat ground.
My bike has 2.25's on it, so will 2.0's or 2.35's fit with the same rim and tube ... thanks. ๐Ÿ™‚

would help if you said which rims,

however for 2.0's or 2.35's then you will be fine with your current rims/tubes

you can get 26" tyres in more suitable skinny slick variety, if you went down below 1.5" you might need tubes to match

Recommended tyre width 1.5 - 2.3 for the 317's

I would shell out for a new pair of tubes (plus a spare) and get narrower tyres. They'll be a good bit lighter and faster. I used to run Specialized Fat Boys on similar Mavic 717s which were 1" or 1.25", not as quick as a road wheel, but pretty fast.
