iam after a new set of tyres iam happy with fat alberts but they have stoped makeing the old 1s and i dont fancy paying £45 each for the new 1s so iam looking for something else . ride mostly trail centres like afan/cwmcarn. any suggestions will pay upto £35 each

I'm using minions 2.35 single ply. 42a front and 60a rear. Good grip, especially climbing. Single ply's not too heavy and a 60a rear rolls fine. Pick 'em up for around £20 at crc.

I use minions too - 2.35 kevlar ones - very impressed - roll ok, edge control is great - straight line downhill grip is not as good as some but they are still very very good in all other respects....
