I've got a Continental Mountain King II 2.2 Protection on the back of my bike which I bought about 6 months ago it's got a good 75% of life left in it but I've noticed 4 of the side lugs have just come off completely leaving a 5p sized bit of carcass where tread used to be.
In peoples experience will I get any joy trying to get this exchanged and if so, retailer or Conti?
Good luck, I've had problems with rubber queen UST leaking and conti UK didn't want to know I've got a 2.4 runner queen apex that's has gone so deformed it's a joke and I will be sending it back but I'm not hopeful.
Next day tyres replaced my UST after a lot of moaning so credit to them.
I wish I didn't like them so much and get another brand.
No chance, they would just say you've been having a good time.
As it turns out after a polite email and some photos sent the tyre was immediately replaced by Continental with no fuss at all. Excellent service, shame the tyre failed, I assume a bad batch went out so I won't hold a grudge.
