I'm thinking of doing a race and basically want to fill my tyres with helium, is this cheating?
No, but you'd save more weight filling them with a vacuum.
I'm thinking of running neon in my tyres for night rides this year. Should save on having to carry lights as well.
fill yourself with helium and that should work even better, not to mention how popular you'll be with the rest of the field with your rather amusing voice.
When Mythbusters filled American footballs with helium they saved a whopping 3.5g per ball!
I suspect the weight savings would be much greater by spitting heavily a few times at the start line, and it would be cheaper (but way more gross).
But to answer your question, is it cheating? Haven't a clue.
