Going for 3 days but more xc ie only on my turner czar 100mm travel, we won't be doing anything black
I run bonty xr4 front and xr3 rear team issue version, but was thinking of changing to the se versions of each as they have tougher side walls, but do I really need to spend £80? Is it rocky where I'll need the extra strength ?

It's generally not that rocky. Only really rocky bits I can think of are the super morzine black under the gondola, the "megravalanche" run down to Lindarets, some bedrock sections on the higher Chatel runs. The fire road sections present the biggest puncture risk. I run dual ply Maxxis on my DH bike. Had Hans Dampfs on my Nukeproof Mega last year and managed to puncture on the megravalanche run

My on-one smorgasbord tyres that I didnt quite like on my rigid hardtail in the UK, have found a perfect new home on the XC FS bike in Morzine.

Cheap as chips at On-One too.
