hi , whats makes a bike feel twitchy/nervous ? i have a canyon strive and spectral , I've slacked the spectral off with bushes but it still feels less planted than my strive . is it the bike overall length or stack height ?

thats all stuff u can change but it will never alter the design of a frame , i heard stack , or its too tall thats why spectral feels nervous .

Are the forks the right way round?

Could be as simple as tyre pressures.

or just tyres. too light and they squirm around. decent thicker casing, sticky "enduro" tyres make a HUGE difference to the solid feeling a bike has.

What are you running currently?

minion and ss up back , think its the frame , as read somewhere there was something in design that made it ride nervous but can't remember where

Stack on the Strive is likely higher than the Spectral

A cm or 2 of saddle height change can make the same bike go from feeling planted to constantly teetering on the brink of a crash for me.

bb drop, front centre & front centre: rear centre too.

Mostly can't be changed, or not significantly.

Could easily be psychological - if you've read it's nervous, you'll be subconsciously thinking that.

Other than that, compare the two geometries and highlight the differences to yourself.
