Trail centres will obviously be OK, but I'm guessing that a lot of the natural stuff will be suffering, and the Pentlands will be right out. Any top tips from the locals? Going with MrsP so Golfie etc will be off limits anyway, more into longer flowy loops than nadgery steeps.
My top tip (I don't live there but Im near enough) would be to buy some riding trousers in advance. Then everything becomes more like fair game! I might even go riding today :O
It’s also tweedlove king of the hill next weekend so a few trails will be closed at inners .
Any top tips from the locals?
You're massively overthinking it.
you're welcome!
Much of the pentlands will be OK - the main more armored / all weather trails. Just avoid the known boggy bits as much as possible.
Accept you'll get wet and roots will be slippy but most of tweed valley will be fine. It's just rain, we get a fair amount of it. You'll get dirty. Pentlands see TJ's answer
Thanks all - getting wet/muddy isn't a problem, but given the unseasonal heavy rain it seemed sensible to check that there weren't any major issues. Bring it on.
Bring a heavy duty chain to stop your bikes getting nicked!
Just go ride Glentress
Still a great day wet or dry
I’m going Sunday and it’s to be Biblical but had some right good days there when I’ve finished mokkit n Drookit
