Is there an easy to find off-road route from Innerleithen to Selkirk and how long would it take? Going with family to Selkirk from Edinburgh tomorrow, to see the in-laws, so thinking of jumping out the car en-route.

The Minchmoor.

The second part of this.. http://www.bikeroutes.org.uk/routes/minchmor.htm

You can make it a bit more interesting by heading up round the Innerleithen XC trails to the summit then taking a right as you cross the SUW

Please tell me you're going to actually jump out of a moving car onto your bike. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hard to say - not been up. The top Fire road at Inners has a lot of snow coverage but quite a bit of that route is in the open so might be OK. Think some parts may be challenging. Let us know how you get on.
