I've had Turners for many years and never really had to grease them that much. Try to squirt some in but if you feel some resistance STOP as you could force the nipple out. I would recommend you do a full strip down, clean and regrease ever 12-18 months.

I can get grease into my main pivot every other ride. The others usually go every 4 rides. I'm relatively heavy though.

Its such an easy thing to do I just top up after ever ride. The problem with turner bushings is that they don't feel rough or graunchy even when they're dry, so you have to check once in a while by trying to get grease in.

Tip: Instead of farting about with bits of rag or a brush to get oily dirt off the zerk, go get a some canned air the like of which is used to clean out PC keyboards, cameras etc... A quick blast and its spotless.

I squirt in the zerk about 1 in 4 rides, more if it's really wet. As said above, stop pushing when you feel resistance. if I'm honest, I don't think I get much in at all. I played hide and seek with a creak on the bike recently. Eventually, I decided to strip/clean/lube all the pivot points. The creak went away. However, the three big pivots were like new in there and only the HL were looking a little grubby but once cleaned, worked fine. I then realised my frame is actually 4 years old! I'm pretty pleased with that.

I nrmally wipe the zerks with a cotton bud in IPA before lubing

what do you plan to squirt it with? I use manitou M-prep as recommended but I think I heard horror stories about Turners and pace suspension grease.

I use the Pace grease on my 5 Spot and don't seem to have had any issues.. am not sure why one grease should be too different from another in this application, it's not like you need a high temp grease or anything.

No, it just needs to be thin enough, else it doesn't migrate easily under normal pivot action.

My 5 Spot is over 5 years old, had the bushings changed once and your lucky if I squirt grease in once a year. It just keeps going. ๐Ÿ˜€
