Wellm am getting a new frame xc full sus, have had a turner and was going to get another but the all these other good frames have appeared since i bought my first frame so now i am not sure which one to get, any owners out there who could help would be great thanks
the new flux DW link looks the biz and has been getting rave reviews although looks fugly compared to the 4bar (mines a horst link kinda bike)_. Basically your in a certain bracket if your considering these makes so i'd do my best to ride as many as possible as see how they feel on the trail. Would be aright pain in the butt to spalsh out £1.5K+ on a frame that aint quite right
Do you mean a short-ish travel XC bike?
If so, that Giant Anthem X has to be worth a look for the price. If it's anything like the standard Anthem it'll be ace.
New turner is meant to ride well but it looks bloody ugly IMO. what you need to do is set yourself a budget and then look at whats out there. One brand that is going head to head with the likes of Intense and Turner at the moment is Foes, with the same fox shocks they are coming out at pretty much the same price if your looking at an XCT (5"), if you want a Curnutt shock you'll pay more though
The Spider FRO rides nicely, bit more travel than the ASR-SL, but the same kind of concept (except for being VPP obviously).
I've got a Flux with the pivots on the seat stays and a Trance with the Maestro set up. I'd say the old Flux is a better ride. It certainly climbs faster. Not muc in it on a downhill.
