[#2859824]

i have just brought a 5 spot in a med size and need a few pointers.
i,m 5'9 and want to know whether you run an inline or layback seatpost and what length stems you run with. I currently ride with 50mm stems on my ex9 and 456 .
Anyone runing a 50mm stem of my height and average build?

Hi jim im 5`8 and ride a medium 5 spot (dw link) i use an inline post with a 75 mm stem this gave the same distance from the centre of the seat to the bars as using a 75mm stem and straight post on my on-one 456 the distance is 26" give or take. I have run the 5 spot with a longer stem 90mm i think. It didnt feel too bad as the top tube is fairly short. But the 75 feels a bit more balanced. I think a 50mm might make it feel a bit cramped.

5 10 on a medium, inline post, 50mm stem. (also tried a 70mm stem)

the front gets a little light on the climbs, but works better on the downs/drops/jumps for me.
