[Closed] turner 5 spot???

Riding buddy of mine has been suffering with exactly that on his new 5 spot for weeks now.

is it a sort of click more than a squeak type creak , if that makes sense. And where does it seem to come from?

Oh his sounds like it might be the BB. It's more of a creak.

this seems to be from the bb too,and it has been fully checked out by shop and is still puzzling us all

Yep mine creaks constantly. If you look over on MTBR.com there are a lot of creaky DW Turners not just spots. I took the links to bits and put anti sieze compound on as per D Turners advice which cured the creak for about 2 rides. Apparently revised links are being sent to owners with persistent problems.

Its the aluminum to aluminum interface on hex link bit of the bottom link where the problem lies btw.

Had it on mine - re-torquing the bolts seemed to cure, but requires a torque wrench.
