will i die? assuming i can get the right seat angle and everthing is tight, is there any reason why not?

I've tried it in the past but never been able to get the seat angle right. You'll not die but may become impotent, sterile and an object of derision

I have done it on my wifes bike. It was way to long for her so it has a layfore seatpost and a 40mm stem. combined with narrow bars and a 130mm fork on a 456 it has quite quick steering.

this reminds me of when a work mate bought a £50 bike off gumtree and asked me if it was ok to turn he stem round 180 degrees to face him so that the bike fitted. (Shortening the reach)

I told him he would be fine if he didnt go too fast.
