There is a slim chance that I'll have an opportunity to move to Istanbul for a couple of years. Anyone have any experience of it as a place to live? Even more importantly is there any mountain biking or climbing nearby?
Thanks
Turkey - Istanbul - what's it like?
A bit like chicken, probably served in a kebab in Istanbul.
Fnar. Should have expected that level of insight at drunk 'o' clock on a Friday night.
Busy, like African / Malaysian busy, not European. Hours and hours of solid traffic. But good too, great people. There's a bit of the Muslim/Christian thing going on but not too overt. Only worked there for short periods but the city and countryside is amazing a real visual feast.
Just seemed to take ages getting anywhere. Good food, great people, can get a bit hot.
