Thinking about getting a second-hand turbo trainer to use during the winter. I have never used one before so have no idea what to look for and even if they are worthwhile. So any tips?
Cheers. Slightbreeze

definitely good for fitness if you have the commitment. However, they also happen to be the most mind-numbingly dull thing I think I've ever done (even with the telly on)

Rollers will keep you more focused.

Hideous, nasty, torture devices.

I'd rather stick pins in my eyes than ride on a turbo ever again.

My idea would be buy some good foul weather kit, some mudguards and get out and HTFU.
