Does a turbo trainer exist that allows you to stand up & stomp a big gear or do a sprint? I've got an Elite Crono Fluid ElastoGel Trainer & if I try & pedal out of the saddle the rear wheel moves away from the roller & I lose all resistance. How about rollers perhaps? Cheers.
lemond?
stand up and sprint on a roller
then get well soon
DIY emotion rollers
Still keep meaning to do this to mine
Ive got a lemond and its easy to stand up and stomp, by far the most realistic feel of a resistance trainer. If its sprint traing def recommended as the noise isn't as bad as people make out.
Very expensive for what they are though and the two i've had have both come with a slightly buckled flywheel- i sent one back because of it but as it works fine I cant be bothered with this one. Not the best quality control!
Kurt Kinetic Rock and Roll would probably work for you.
But it's not cheap.....

I used to have one of these and did plenty of hard out of the saddle stuff

Cheers guys, I'm liking the price of that Minoura one. The problem with mine is that your weight on the back of the bike is what keeps the tyre in contact with the roller, which obviously isn't conducive to out of the saddle stuff.
i used to use tayx electro mag nectic turbo. awesome
Pedalhead Ive got the same TT and have the same problem, but I figured it is so good in every other way that it wasnt worth changing. Any TT that holds the rear wheel in frame will allow you to do out of saddle stuff.
However I find that the one you have is fantastic compared to others 95% of the time I dont want to stand up so will stick with it
