I'm heading to Merthyr Tydfil for Tuesday night.
I'll be bringing the bike with me, please can you tell me where there is local to ride? Either from the town or a nearby trail centre, or are there any local riders I could join up with for the evening?

I was thinking of something more XC not DH.
Anything easy to follow over the Brecon Beacons?

You could get the Gap in if you start early enough or a short circular loop along Sarn Helen from Forest Lodge (near Libanus)not far from the A470.
