Hi.
I bought a pair of wheels a little while ago from eBay, they seemed in good condition so went in the garage to wait to be fitted with winter tyres, that time has come, only now do I find the previous owner seems to have drilled them out for Schrader valves !!
My usual/go-to tubeless valves, just pull straight through (the outer rim bed hole), so was wondering if anyone knew of a tubeless valve with an extra wide head, that would span the hole and save these wheels from a life of Schrader inner tube usage :0/
Cheers
Michael

You can get schraeder tubeless valves as well. There are advantages to schraeder and although I don't use them myself I've a friend who swears by them.
Edit - beaten to it!
I'd rather not have Schrader valves on one set of wheels and Presta on all the others, although that may be how it ends up unless I can find some suitable Prest valves.
I may try cutting a piece of gasket/insertion rubber into a large penny washer type affair and pass the valve through it and see if that works. It's a little bodgy for my liking, but ...
Or just cut the valves and a bit extra off a couple of inner tubes,
Whats the issue with 2 different valves, most decent pumps do both anyway
Or do the whole ghetto tubeless thing with Presta inner tubes?
I’ve not found anything that beats it for reliability.
Muc off .
They have replaceable rubber grommets for inside the rim and come with a few different sizes as standard
