Having just pretty much gotten rid of all trace of fingerprints on my thumbs and still not budged them anyone got any tips for removing particularly stubborn tyre beads?

I'm using Easton Haven Carbon rims with Maxxis Ust tyres, and they are stuck fast......

I use my 3 tonne mini digger to pop the beads of most wheels. Might just be overkill here I fancy ๐Ÿ™‚

Seriously though. If you have a decent vice you could try squeezing (carefully) the tyre in the jaws as close to the rim as you can get

Which part of the rim do you start mounting the tyre first? I find that starting opposite the valve allows the bead to be pushed further into the rim, making it easier to get the last bit of bead mounted.

Heat them with a hair dryer. The Kevlar and rubber will relax and should make it a little easier.

I use my boot, trap the tyre on the floor and push the wheel away with a twist. This breaks the seal easy. You can do the same to get the tyres on without using a tyre leaver.
