I have a Bontrager wheelset which is "tubeless ready" and comes with the valves..My question is Im wanting to fit a pair of Racing ralphs ust tyres. Would I be able to fit and run without the sealant or would it be required..Your help greatly appricated.
cheers
Your need the bontrager rim strips aswell in order to make the "tubeless ready" rims tubeless.
You can run proper ust tyres without sealent but its wise to have some in.
Yeah, chuck some stans in.
use stans so it can seal all the mini punctures you get whilst out on the trails.
Thanks for the quick replies. The wheels have tubeless rim strips fitted at present so just need to fit the valves and top up with some sealant right? As a guide how much mls per tyre and is it better to use co2 to seal when fitting? Sorry for all the questions
About 100ml to start and it's probably easier with a compressor to seat them on the rim, co2 is a bit costly. A little diluted washing up liquid around the bead will help it seat too.
