Planning my first ride tubeless ride tomorrow and not sure what to take with regards to spares. I picked up a tubeless repair kit but figured I can just leave the kit at home and pack a tube for the ride, and some park super patches just in case.
If I need to let a bit of air out (the tyres are quite firm) I assume I can just let it out at the valve in little bursts to stop me losing all my sealant?
Thanks all
Take a tube or two and that should be fine. You shouldn't lose much sealant at all by letting a little air out of the tyres. What pressure have you got in them?
I've got no idea, the shop pumped them up and I didn't ask.. ๐ณ
I may attach my track pump to find out but been busy tonight and CBA ATM
At a guess I'll need to let some out but will ride around a bit.
I figure adding extra air is the same as a regular tyre?
when letting air out make sure valve is at 2 or 10 0'clock and any sealant will drain to the bottom of the tyre ๐
They may lose a bit of air overnight so don't worry too much
I run tubeless but still carry a tube just in case
You don't really want any more than about 30 psi in them I reckon Will. I'm running less than that on mine and as you know I'm a lot heavier than you.
What tyres have you gone for and which shop was it?
I got Fat Albert Snakeskin Evo's half price from On One, and got a custom build with Hope 2 evo's and Arches from JRA. I had my heart set on the Arches and got a good price. They fitted the tyres with a track pump.
Should be ok if from them then
