[#2044445]

So a year back I didn't quite as 'nicely' as I do now. As a result I have a couple of tubeless high rollers with pinch punctures on the bead itself/very close to. The usual tubeless plugs don't work and I can't see patches working either. Any ideas on fixing these for further tubeless use?

snakebite on a tubeless? i thought the reason niche riders went tubeless was to stop this happening

Superglue and build up the bead with patches, or just give away to the luddites to use with a tube.

The velox tubeless patch kits work fine for repairing these punctures. Just cut one of the patches in half so you have a straight edge, clean and dry the tyre up and stick it on. Worked fine for me a couple of times.

normal patches + sealant works pretty well. If I'm feeling particularly paranoid I'll stick a patch on the outside too.

Ok cheers, I'll try those. The plug method prevent the bead from correctly seating in the rim so hopefully building up with patches will help!

Use car/motorbike/tractor patches. They're a lot bigger and thicker. I've used them for repairing a damaged sidewall.
Most motor vehicles are tubeless nowadays, so try an agricultural or motorbike shop as they are more likely to stock patches.
