The aluminium pedal insert in my ageing carbon crank has come loose! I have a roll of UD carbon in the workshop and some epoxy. What do you reckon is the best way to go about repairing it? I think I'll need to cut it out to get it clean, but it'd be very handy to know what the insert actually looks like and how it was bonded to the carbon. It's clearly more than just a thread - it looks like it has a block that extends back into the crank. Anyone have any experience chopping up Sram cranks? Cheers!
Which side? My drive side one is knackered but I still have a good NDS arm if it is any good to you.

I've come to the conclusion that there's a lot less magic to carbon than is advertised by the manufacturers. A mountain bike takes a bit of thumping, but I've been riding home-repaired Campags on my road bike for the last six months without any issues.
