Hi,
I want to replace the existing 32T middle ring with a 36T. The crank's manual shows a self-extractor widget that I assume eases the crank off the spindle. As I'm a bit ham-fisted I'm hoping that someone can enlighten me just how this self-extractor thing works before I break something.

Answer:
The inner hex nut has to simply screwed out as normal. This eases the crank off. The outer hex nut is a retainer that shouldn't come off the crank.
