Thought I liked my Singletrack II shorts...then yesterday I tried on (and bought two pairs) of Skylines... Comfy/no restrictiveness/no drop-crotch to snag on the saddle. Wow.

Any other fans?

Ps. 'Unobtrusive' to wear....not the colour 8)

Love mine for the same reasons as you and the colours, black & grey, are unobtrusive. I do fancy some red ones though 8)

Pretty good IMO.

My only real negative is the velcro rather than a proper zip.

Comfy shorts for me theses days are the Madisons - Zenith I think off top of my head.. Not quiet colours though, in general.

Tried them, didn't like the cut. Preferred the Fox Demo Freeride's.

I could do with some new shorts after another pair fell off me today and annoyed me the whole way round! I'll start mooching me thinks!

I use a pair for best....in black really nice an comfy ... I prefer Velcro for anti knob snagging and find it less to go wrong.

Good shout Bennn, just treated myself to a pair in red. Already got a black pair and they fit well and are wearing well after loads of abuse.

Go on eBay and buy some of the pairs from the far east for about £20 a pair, take a few weeks to arrive but still. Think the quality can be a little bit and miss, I got sent two pairs by mistake with the second pair being a fair bit different to the first pair in terms of quality etc.

My ACE shorts are well... 😀

Sombrio shorts are the toughest material known to the clothing world I have found as I have some old ones.

My Aces were £33 in sale at crc and took a punt and it turned good although why no zipped frontage?

Talking of Madison, but am I the only one who finds that their sizing is way to big, I'm usually a large (35-36 waist) but I find even their Mediums start to slip down?

+1 Zeniths

+1 you need to go small in them (I'm usually large, medium zeniths fit me)

Alpineharry those are fakes. A mag ran a story on TLD counterfeits not so long ago.

I do know that but they're a fraction of the price of the real ones.

The shorts have a fairly short 'rise'. My evil half says thats the drop to the crotch-they just dont snag on the saddle so you can get away with a higher saddle in some situations I've found 😀

Thats good attention to detail IMO as my other shorts always catch.

yup got a pair recently from wheelbase, been great, no snagging on seat, fairly light but well constructed…happy with the pockets as i don't ride with stuff in them and prefer no pockets on shorts…. went to by a second pair but they had no more in black...
