100% fake..

I mate has a pair and they are pretty good. Another mate has genuine ones and they've started to fall apart 😯

A mate described the fake ones he got thusly....

Cheap feeling, heavy, thick - so just like the real ones then.

I've a couple of pairs of copies, slight fail on a pocket corner on one pair but took very little to fix.

Heavy, feel cheap, smell funny. The waist clip was mounted too far away from the centre strap so it wouldn't clip together. I wouldn't bother...

They will be fake, but the fakes I bought are pretty good for £18. White shorts, with the British weather wasn't a good idea though. 😀

I got some a few months back from ebay, I have no doubts that they are fake as they ended up coming from China or wherever. They seem really good quality however, the waist sizes were way off. I ordered a 36" waist, which when arrived didn't fit anywhere near, stupidly I then ordered a 38" waist, which when arrived was even smaller. I then measured them with a tape measure and the 36" were a 34" and the 38" were only a 32". Although they have been sat in a box unused hoping one day I might loose a bit of weight and they will fit. If someone wants to make an offer for either pair I could post them out to you they still have there tags on and everything.

I got a pair from AliExpress, and I can't tell the difference between them and a mate's pair of authentic ones. Given they're both made in China and fact that they appear to be identical, I'd hazard a guess they're from the same factory. The AliExpress ones aren't sold to a huge multinational at discount price, so my thinking is that somewhere in Shanghai someone is getting more money from me than they are from TLD's buying department, per unit. I have no qualms with this.
