My kids are 5 and want to keep riding throughout the winter so we’re looking for some riding trousers as joggers aren’t great. Not waterproofs (as if it’s horrendous weather we will probably stay in), but something water resistant, light and a bit stretchy like trail trousers that us adults wear. Ideally they can double up for MTB and BMX duty.

Any PSAs or bargains out there?  As it gets rather expensive buying for 2 kids at a time.

Hiking trousers.
They are nice and light and dry quickly.
Keep the worst off but light enough to not overheat too much.
Regatta is what I've bought for winter, except I bought adult ones as I am nearly adult sized.

Decathlon hiking trousers. Stretchy softshell with tough knees and seat. Some have a fleece lining, or my girls sometimes wear tights under if it's really cold.

Decathlon and Regatta seem to fit the bill for us for a small 6yo, and occasionally Hannah or Troll kids from Sports pursuit.
