Following the thread earlier in the week about the correct seat collar for a Trek Lush, I put the new collar on last night.
The paint underneath had creased and caused a substantial ridge under the bottom of the old collar. Putting the new one showed up the fragility of the paint around this area and several chucks just flaked off. It's all covered up by the seat collar, but this seems a bit crap. Should I take this up with the shop / trek warranty (the bike is only 6 month old) or just accept that it is what it is and I can't see it anyway. I can't decide if it's even worth the bother, I just don't think that it should be doing this.
6 months old and you can't see it? i'd not bother, if it was like it when new i'd contact shop, Trek have excellent warranty
Don't look behind the BB, Headset or disk mounts then. 😕
