[Closed] Trek District, Nexus vs. Alfine.

We've another instalment of the Bikes to Work scheme incomign, and this time I actually fancy a new commuter bike! 😱 I've always liked the Trek District series with the Gates belt drive.

There's £325 quid between the 3 Equipped and the 4 Equipped, the major difference* is Nexus on the cheaper one and Alfine on the top spec 4. Both are 8 speed. Is the Nexus really worth the extra cost?

I'd prefer the trigger shift of the Alfine, but have a 3 speed twist grip now and it works OK. The other very minor differences could be upgraded easy for way less than the cost difference.

*apart from the colour scheme, which might actually be the real deciding factor!
