During Transwales next week, I will be pretending to work from home so will need to do emails and stuff in the afternoon, and I don't think my iPhone will last all week. So does anyone know if there will be some sort of place where I can charge my phone every day, and I guess also my lights for the night time ride...
One more thing - they have not sent me any info about the size of bag that I can transport my stuff in - clearly that has an impact on what I take along! any ideas... all I can find reference to is a "large kit bag" ?
You should have had an email yesterday.
No charging points at the event, that is clear in all the things. I take a charger that runs off batteries for my phone, but I won't be using it much just the odd texts etc.
Here is what they say about the size of the bag
How much gear you can take:
The holdall you will be given at registration is roughly 35 x 40 x 100cm big. In that bag you have to pack all your cycling gear, gear to wear in the evening, sleeping bag and mattress. The only extra thing we are transporting is your tent.
Hope you are feeling ready, I am so nervous!
ok thanks - you're right I had a look and found the mail in my junk folder...
I am nowhere near ready! Haven't done much training and I'm riding a specialized Enduro so I think my legs are probably going to fall off... oh well the worst case it will be a great week to kick-start my training again.
I wasn't nervous but now that you mention it, it's starting...!
there is no electricity in wales. FACT.
And your iphone will be so wet after day 1 it will never work again.
I am riding a rigid singlespeed, so don't worry about your bike!
