[Closed] Transportation problems

Greetings, people.

Had anybody experience in transporting their bike to another continent? I have relatives in southern Asia and I was planning to move to them for a while and one big problem occurred: I don't know how to take my bike with me. Should I send it off with all my oversize belongings or should I pack it in luggage when I'll leave the country? What else would you recommend?

Please, don't suggest buying new one on the other side of the ocean -- I want to take my memories with me, not just a transport or toy.
