[#4883639]

when i turn the cranks i can feel each link moving through the transmission. Not sure if its on the new front cog, the new jockey wheels, or the old chain and cassette. Or is it a b tension issue or poor indexing?

No VISIBLE wear to the cassette but the chain is slack when manipulated side to side

Check that the chain is routed correctly, especially through the rear mech.

yes as the cassette doesn't look worn at all! Nothing is skipping

im with greeble, stretched chain not loving the new jockeys/chainring.

that said - a friend complained that his drivetrain was 'really' noisy and did the same thing, could feel/hear every single link...... bit of lube fixed it.

This is why I just run it all until it starts playing up. You can disregard the jockeys. It's the ring that's the problem, well worn chain and cassette.
