I have just fitted a DBcoil to my Scout. Supplied and setup by TF. I am curious as to what sag people are running with this setup. Transition recommend 35% rear sag with the supplied air shock. Tf have done the spring calcs and i am currently only getting 25% sag this is with a 500lb Valt spring. If it helps I'm 12 stone 3lb with riding clobber including pack.
I'm running mine around 30% but am heavier and have a heavier spring. Don't tend to have much lsc or lsr but still play around alot with settings. Was riding a Five when I bought it so it came set for that from TF but will get them to play with it when it goes back for a service.
are you getting 25% with no preload? TBH thats quite a good number remembering that the scout has quite a linear leverage ratio. I would ride the bike and see how it feels. I have 30% on my suppressor and I do bottom out regularly (don't feel it though). To see how much travel you are using move the bottom out bumper up and see what its like on a normal run.
edit - the 35% transition suggest is down to the point of maximum anti-squat. I never ran my air shock at 35% as it was shite.
I am running a DBcoil IL on my Smuggler. Not worked out the sag but TF set it up for my weight etc for the frame with an Ohlins spring. Think about 30% sag. It’s an ace shock though

I did get out on it yesterday to dial the shock in using the Dialled App. I found I was bottoming out on drops and adjusted the HSC accordingly.
I did slide the bottom out bump up the shaft for one run which indicated I was using all the travel. The bumper seemed a ball ache to slide up the shaft from the very bottom, is there a knack to do this?
I'm back out today to play a bit more, so does 25% seem like a good starting point?
no there isn't a knack - its a pain in the arse lol
