hi,
just building up my 2012 trance x frame and cant find any details from giant regardings the front mech.
Do i need top pull or bottom pull, top swing etc
and band size?

Should be the same as on my Reign X I think.
34.9 and top swing. All shimano front mechs are dual pull now iirc anyway so that bit doesn't matter.
Just so happens I may well have a brand new M770 XT that could fit the bill if you were interested.
i have a 34.9 top swing off the old build sat waiting.

you can have mine for a few quid if you want, I'm runnug an Alfine on my trance so have no need for it. I thunk its xt.

hi podge i have a new deore one i guess will work. i'll try tomorrow and keep you both in mind if its wrong.
My trance X 08 has a bottom swing. No sure it could take a top one as the seat tube is quite curvered
