I think I've probably reached a point (and an age) where if I want to better my previous best I'll need a proper structured training plan, or at least have some idea of what's good for me.

Does anyone have any good resources/books/websites that they use?

Preferably something easy to follow that doesn't bore me to tears.

Let's say I'm not focusing on anything in particular. I just want to ride faster. The finer details I can focus on when I have a grasp of the basics.

I occasionally read pieces in magazines and online, and I understand the very basic concepts of over/under training. LSD, HIIT, HR zones, power, and that kind of stuff....it's just in reality I have no real idea of what to do with them. How much to do them. When not to do them. When to do something else. Hence the plan. Something I can just look at and go [i]yep, that's the goal for today[/i].

No idea how they look on Kindle, only got printed editions. there's a few diagrams/graphs.

Followed this for the last couple of years and it works for me. Very cheap too
