Was at the uplift at Cwmcarn yesterday and noticed that somehow the bolt holding my Avid Juicy caliper to the post-mount adapter has fallen out, along with the curvy washers.
We started looking at what we could cannibalize from bikes/spares to solve the problem, going through the seat-collar bolt, chainring spacers, chain device bushings, and ended up with this:
Apologies for the picture quality, but that is a dismantled multi-tool, using the bolt to fasten and the allen keys as spacers to take up the extra length. The washer between the caliper and adapter is actually a bearing from a pedal rebuild kit, and there's a zip-tie to stop everything spinning into the wheel.
We were all very proud of the achievement.
